At Himalayan Comfort AFH LLC, our personal care services go beyond mere assistance – they encompass both physical support and thoughtful prompting, ensuring residents receive personalized care based on their individual needs. Our dedicated team supervises and assists with direct personal care tasks, prioritizing the well-being and comfort of each resident. It’s important to note that our personal care services do not include tasks performed by licensed health professionals, ensuring a clear focus on holistic support tailored to the unique requirements of our residents.

If needed, we offer assistance with:

Eating:

• Promoting and supervising those who are able to feed themselves but are at risk for choking.
• Feeding those who are unable to feed themselves.
• Pure diet/soft diet.

Toileting:

• Encouraging, promoting, and supervising those who are able to use the toilet.
• Providing complete physical assistance to those who are unable to go to the toilet or are incontinent.

Walking:

• Encouraging and supervising those who are able to walk with assistive devices.
• Providing a passive range of motion exercise for those who are unable to walk.

Transferring:

• Encouraging those who are able to transfer on their own.
• Providing physical assistance if needed to transfer.
• Using Hoyer lifts who are unable to assist with transferring.

Positioning:

• Encouraging those who are able to change position.
• Provide physical assistance with positioning, regularly turning, and placing limbs in the correct position.

Personal Hygiene:

• Encouraging and supervising those who are able to maintain personal hygiene.
• Providing physical assistance with personal hygiene to those who are unable to maintain their hygiene, like brushing teeth, combing, showering, and nail cutting (except for diabetic clients).

Dressing:

• Encouraging those who are able to dress themselves.
• Providing physical assistance for those who are unable to dress on their own.

Bathing:

• Provide physical assistance as needed by residents, either full or partial help with showering.
• A bed bath can also be given as needed.
